AMETAL: The Additive Manufacturing for Energy Transport Applications Laboratory

We are a faculty-led research team within the Alan Levin Department of Mechanical & Nuclear Engineering at Kansas State University that focuses on how to best use additive manufacturing (AM) for achieving next-generation energy components with tailored properties and dimensions.  We focus on the design, AM and characterization of heat exchangers, heat pipes, heat spreaders, heat sinks, energy harvesters, waste heat recovery devices, manifolds, flow manipulators and more.

Please contact Dr. Scott Thompson if you are interested in working with, or have questions regarding, AMETAL:
